Qi Transmission Therapy

This an ancient approach to energy work, and is based on Daoist and Buddhist esoteric practices of mudra, mantra, cultivation of the mind, energy/Qi, and Qi manipulation to influence the mind, body, and spirit.

This treatment is designed to invigorate you mind, the body's natural healing abilities, and restore internal harmony. It is included within your Tui Na session

What is it?

Though Qi transmission (Fa Gong/Fa Qi) is always utilized during Tui Na sessions, it is it's own treatment method entirely. Qi Transmission is a rare and unique practice, due to the depth of practice and time needed to cultivate the skill to use it.

Qi Transmission Therapy is designed to help balance and harmonize the flow of energy, cultivate inner awareness, and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The specific practices used may vary depending on the practitioner or teacher, but the focus is always on developing greater balance and harmony in the body, mind, and spirit. The "energy" used in Qi Transmission is the same as that of "Reiki", being that there is only one source. However, the techniques and cultivation of such "energy" in Qi Transmission are entirely different than that of Reiki, especially because the practitioner refines the Qi, and cultivates it throughout their lifetime. It isn't a weekend workshop practice, and requires intense, detailed practice, which is why it is so effective.

The practice stems from the Buddhist and Daoist non-religious, esoteric schools of the cultivation of the mind/spirit, energy, and body with the overall focus on assisting anyone who seeks inner-work, a transmission of energy to boost their cultivation skill, or in-depth "spiritually" based healing.

The practice focuses on the directing and transferring of Qi throughout the body and mind, for healing and insight, utilizing mudra, mantra, and deep concentration techniques. Your therapist has over 30 years of this particular practice, is a lay disciple of the Complete Reality School of Daoism, and began his cultivation of the Buddhist/Daoist esoteric arts at age 8 and has Reiki Master certification for over 25yrs. What to expect?

During your Tui Na session the therapist will begin by applying acupressure to specific points to induce a state of peace, all the while transmitting energy to your body. Then, he will proceed to help create space at the joints with gentle traction to improve the circulation of blood and Qi.

Throughout your treatment there will be times where ony hands and o fingers are placed on certain parts of your body. This  allows for a more focused transmission of energy. Should there be discomfort or pain that arises during the session, the therapist will attend to those specific areas, with Tui Na, acupressure, and more Qi transmission, in order to free the channels and meridians from "blockages", stagnation of blood, Qi, and fluids.

The Experience

Expect to be at ease, during the session, however, there are various states of mind you may experience. States of joy, sadness, excitement, frustration, tranquility, love, etc, are bound to arise. That is normal, for they are based on your mind, and all you need to do is BREATHE deeply, calmly, and relax in it. Due to lying for a long period of time, the rest state of the mind and nervous system, and the moving of Qi, you will need a moment to "wake up", and gather your "self". So when the session is over, take it slow.
